Greece VAT
Mainland Greece charges 24% standard VAT. The Commission table lists reduced rates of 13%, 6%, and 17%, plus a 4% super-reduced rate. The 17% and island regimes apply only in specific places and to specific supplies, so the calculator defaults to 24%. Many Aegean islands have historically used lower rates. VIES identifies Greece as EL rather than GR.
